Tycho Brahe Station / tb-docking-bay

Narrator BOT 14-Mar-26 05:22 PM
The first stop for the rescue operation was the docking bay of the station. Though it was bathed in flickering fluorescent lights and flashing red emergency sirens, the sheer level of starlight coming from Archid practically drowned out every over color in the docking bay, and no doubt the rest of the station.

Lt. Cdr. Aoife O'Rielly | INT BOT 14-Mar-26 05:48 PM
As the first to attempt a landing Aoife's shuttle broke through the bays force field and began descending into a landing bay that was free.

Lt. JG. Dakkil Kich | OPS BOT 14-Mar-26 05:49 PM
Dakkil sprung out of the shuttle as soon as it was safe too, sunglasses on, looking rather dapper in the middle of a disaster. Hey, that kind of rhymed. It looked around, analyzing the situation and taking in the scene in front of it. "Hello? We're from the Eventide, we're here to get you guys out of here!" it called, stepping into the hallway from the docking bay.

Narrator BOT 14-Mar-26 05:50 PM
The entire station was rattling with the level of gravity outside of it, making the landing quite shaky but manageable. Only two runabouts from the station proper were still here, obviously destroyed when the stabilizers first failed. There was another shuttle from the Lauderdale currently in the process of loading people aboard. One of the officers from the Lauderdale, a Caitian, waved the crew of Aoife’s shuttle over, “Have you got medical staff aboard?!”
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Twelve of Twenty | MED BOT 14-Mar-26 05:52 PM
Twelve raised a hand, having joined the shuttle crew. They needed a medical officer so she'd arrived at the shuttles once preparations were completed. Once she'd confirmed that she could be spared. "I'm from medical, where do you need me?" The El-Aurian xB inquired of the Catian as she stepped forward to them.

The Caitian quickly shuffled Twelve aboard their shuttle and pointed toward a human woman on a stretcher, “No easy way to say this- She’s going into labor.”

Twelve nodded once and then looked to Aoife. "We're needed here." Before she looked to the Caitian with her xB calm and stated. "Understood, I'll do what I can to help, what's her name?" This question asked as she started to approach the human woman. Did so as she mentally ran through what she had with her, assessed options. Considered what to do if one of a variety of things turned out to be the case.

"I will help here, and... I am honored to be your nurse in this situation," They added, trying to smile despite their hesitation to call upon those particular memories. But, they were a Joined Trill, they could not just ignore one of their lives because it was... unpleasant.

Lt. Cdr. Aoife O'Rielly | INT BOT 14-Mar-26 06:09 PM
Aoife went over to Mowr. "I'm Commander O'Rielly, what's the situation so far? Where's the worst hit, is Ops still functional for command and control?" Aoife stopped at Tek questions not wanting to overload the lieutenant who looked over their head. "We've got you, tell us whatevers relevent."

Narrator BOT 14-Mar-26 06:11 PM
There was a single nurse present aboard the Lauderdale’s shuttle, currently keeping the pregnant woman calm as best she could. Screaming, though, was very present as well. The nurse looked very stressed. Mowr nodded, “Wish we were meeting under better circumstances, Cdr. O’Rielly…the solar array’s probably the hardest hit, but superheated steam is pouring out of the hydroponics farm. We haven’t been able to get through it.”
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Twelve of Twenty | MED BOT 14-Mar-26 06:12 PM
Becoming aware of the fact it seemed less than likely she'd get the name she'd requested from the Catian, Twelve started toward the woman. Did so as she smiled to the Trill "W-." She blinked and proceeded to take a breath. "I'm happy to have you supporting me on this, Ensign." She resumed her walk toward the woman going into Labour then as she asked the ensign. "What's you name?" A question she reckoned she needed an answer too before they arrived there. She wanted the woman to know both their names. She wanted to know this ensigns name too.
Avatar
Narrator BOT 14-Mar-26 06:15 PM
Through pained and quick breathing, the pregnant woman responded with, “Sssamantha!” The nurse, an Orion, gave a nod, and then looked at Marze and Twelve, “Ensign Kip. Little out of my element!”
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Aoife O'Rielly | INT BOT 14-Mar-26 06:19 PM
"Likewise lieutenant." She began with look of reassurance. "Right, I take it there's no easy way to turn off the hydroponic systems if you haven't already. I'll see if I can wrangle some engineers to deal with it." Aoife said in response to Mowr. "What's the arrays function exactly? Is it just a science kit or does it keep this bucket in orbit?" Aoife was being genuine there, she didn't know what it did and didn't have time to sound smart, if it was useful she'd try and get it fixed if not then it was just broken.

“Engineers would be great. A majority of ours are still on Lauderdale keeping it afloat,” He hummed, “Science kit, but helps run some of the auxiliary functions of the station. The orbital stabilizers were ran through the reactor, which is…otherwise shot to hell, thanks to the CME,” Mowr shook his head, “Their early warning systems didn’t catch it in time. Complete fluke. They didn’t even realize it was happening until it was.”

Lt. Cdr. Twelve of Twenty | MED BOT 14-Mar-26 06:22 PM
Well, one of the ensigns names was good enough for now, she reckoned! "Hello Samantha." She stated then before she moved to introduce herself and decided on something. "I'm Lieutenant Commander Twelve of Twenty, but you can call me Mirkya if you'd like." A name, both one that was and wasn't hers, offered to a stranger. The name snatched from her from the collective. Offered here, offered now despite all the emotion it caused her because it was the right thing to do. Because a number wasn't what Samantha needed here. It was a name. Stated that as she moved to kneel down next to them and pulled out her medical tricorder. Did so and smiled to the ensign. "Good to have you here, Ensign Kip either way." And glanced to Samantha. "We'll all see you safe through this now, hmm?" Twelve then proceeded to get down to the business of rendering aid to the pregnant woman. Efficient as she proceeded to start to do all she could to help Samantha. First off, she assessed the status of her, the pregnancy and the baby using the tricorder scan. As she did that, she asked. "How are you so far, Samantha?" And glanced to Ensign Kip. "Have you given her anything at present, Ensign?"
Avatar
Ens. Marze Bihn | ENG BOT 14-Mar-26 06:24 PM
"I am Marze Bihn... Ensign..." He answered, trying to sound more confident and sure of himself than he felt in that moment. He thought that maybe, knowing his name might make Samantha feel a bit more comforted as well. "Just tell me what you need, Commander, and I will get it done...!" He spoke with a nod, waiting for further instructions on what to do, going through any procedures he may have encountered in the far past.

“Standard suite of painkillers, but there’s only so much I’m able to do from here. Lauderdale’s medical bay is already inundated,” They looked a bit pale. Samantha was holding Kip’s hand and squeezed as another contraction passed through her body, “C-Contractions are coming about every 10 minutes or so…”
Avatar
Lt. Cdr. Twelve of Twenty | MED BOT 14-Mar-26 07:36 PM
Twelve nodded a bit as she checked the scans and assessed options. "Understood, Ensign." She stated then before she looked to him and smiled. "We've got a good bit of room in our medbay, we'll take Samantha there." She then looked to Samantha again as she stated. "With the standard suite of painkillers onboard, there's not much past that I can give you right now pain killer wise." Twelve stated then before she stated. "It'll still help if you need anything further, Samantha." She stated then before she asked. "How is your pain like?" With the scan assessed, Twelve attempted to determine how Samantha was holding up. Given the time between the contractions, she'd started to lean to trying to Evacuate Samantha to Eventide if she could. Contractions 10 minutes apart, hmm. "Ensign Bihn, can you take over scans for me?" She asked then as she offered the ensign the medical tricorder. "Let me know if anything at all changes." Asked that as she considered what she'd noted on the shuttle, considered what she'd spotted with the scans. She most certainly disliked this all happening here, she wanted Samantha within Eventides shields, for her and for the baby. She then looked over to Aoife and Mowr. Spotted that they were talking and tapped her combadge.

Brown eyes assessed her before she gently placed a hand on Samantha's shoulder. "It will be." She agreed then with what she hoped was a calming smile. "You're doing brilliantly, especially given the situation." Paused then before she then added. "Shall we give you that additional pain relief?" Her smile warm then as she watched the other carefully. "It'll take some of the edge off that, make you more comfortable." He paused. "We going to be transferring you to the Eventide now, get you comfortable in the med bay." Twelve looked to the ensigns then. "I'd like to get Samantha safely to the Eventide." She started then. "It'll be much more comfortable, safer and we'll have access to the full med bay." The El-Aurian xB stated then before she continued on as she looked to the Orion ensign. "I know you've likely got duties here you may not want to be away from ensign given the potential for other patients in need." She paused then. "But Samantha's more familiar with you than us, if they can spare you briefly, we'll be back once she's safe in the bay."

Amber had shown up at some point, then elected to remain in the docking bay in case anyone needed to get out quickly and ahead of the main bulk of their away teams. "Brilliant and well, I imagine there'll be a pilot around, one moment." Twelve nodded to Ensign Kip then and then looked to Samantha as she administered the additional pain relief. "I've just given you a bit more for the pain, that's everything you can have at present with the standard painkillers onboard and what I've got with me." The El-Aurian informed her with what she hoped was a kind smile. "It should help take the edge off things a bit." That statement offered turned to look around the place. Offered as she gently, very gently patted the lady's shoulder. "You'll have quite the beautiful view in the shuttle, by the way, its quite the light show." Spotted the lieutenant then as she noted what they were in proximity too. "Lieutenant." Twelve started then. "One patient in need of evac, are you able to pilot a shuttle?" The El-Aurian inquired then. Did so before she looked to Ensign Kip and asked. "Do you have any other patients who are awaiting evacuation and could come out with us?"

Once the orders were issued, Marze wasted no time in getting into the first shuttle available. Had she gone into the one with people she already knew out of instinct? Yes. Was one of said people Amber? Yes. Did she end up smirking and maybe teasing her about her pilot skills over all the shaking around as she left the shuttle on the docking bay? Yes, absolutely. Did it mean anything between them? No, of course not! Not a lot of time to linger around though, as the news about people stuck in some of the levels of the starbase reached her ears. She turned towards the #tb-science-labs and made her way over.

At Dakkils entrance, Twelve looked to them and then glanced to Ivian at the others statement. So that patient was being seen too, that was good she reckoned. So, she turned them to Samantha and smiled to her as she worked to guide her toward the shuttle. As she did, she called out. "If there's any patients or others to be gotten out, follow us." Hoped others would follow her to the shuttle. Hoped that as she moved. With the gravity out, the situation had developed into one Samantha needed to be out of sharpish so, she moved. "You just focus on breathing and those contractions, Samantha, we're getting you out of here now." Needs of the patient, of any patients first. Something she held in her mind as she called over to Kairos. "Ensign, if you can get them over to us, one of the people helping me is a Engineer." She stated then. Twelve idly noted that she seemed somewhat okay with Zero-G travel. Interesting. She filed that consideration for a later day, perhaps it was something Rakim could be prodded about. No matter, it was a line of thought that most certainly happened to not be pertinent at present. Once she was sure Samantha was secured, swift and efficient as she secured the lady's stretcher in place and glanced to Ensign Marze. "Hows the scan looking?" Asked her question before she added. "As you'll have an android patient to deal with, once there in you can pass back the tricorder for now." She'd looked around the space then, noted the other wounded. "But I may need your and Ensign Kips further assistance at points too." The El-Aurian added then before she smiled and stated. "That also said, if you need me to hold anything for you at any point and I'm free, I'm also willing to assist you as much as I well, can." Twelve then smiled to Samantha again as she looked in the direction of Ambers voice. "I think we're waiting on one more patient." Twelve stated then as she placed a gentle hand on Samantha's shoulder again in a supportive gesture. "I need to check the other patients, if you need me, I'll be near, just call." She then moved off to check the other wounded civilians and commenced rendering aid. As she did so and spotted Ensign Kairos and his patient, she nodded to him then looked in Ambers direction. "We're all in, lets go!" Twelve then glanced to Ensign Marze and proceeded to held out a hand for her tricorder back. "I believe you've a patient to see too, ensign."
